- Is the cable connected to your modem properly?
- (yes) Is the modem connected to the phone jack properly?
- (yes) Are all other connections OK?
- (yes) Is Lotus Express disabled?
- (yes) press F10 and select Enable.
- If still have a problem check all the information in Mailbox\
- Password.
- Telephone number.
- Mailbox active.

- Is the light flashing on your modem?
- (no) Use Communication Manager to see if baud rate is correct.

- Do you have two ports?
- (yes) Try the other one.

- Do the Incoming and Send folders contain > 400 messages?
- (yes) Folders are full.
- Clean up folders by moving or deleting messages.

- Is the disk full?
- (yes) Would you like to delete information?
- (no) Copy for storage using File Save Message command.

- PC Clock\
- Does your PC think it is January 1980?
- (yes) You may have to wait years for your mail.
- Make sure you set the PC clock to the current date and time.
